Automated Shuttle Racking

Drive-In & Drive-Through Racking

Deep lanes, forklift enters

Forklifts drive into the lanes and set pallets on rails, filling from the floor up. Drive-in has one aisle (LIFO); drive-through has two (FIFO).

Benefits

Why it works

01

High density

Interior aisles disappear; lanes run many pallets deep.

02

Lowest investment

The simplest and least costly high-density system.

03

Smaller cooled area

Common in cold storage, where a smaller footprint means less space to cool.

04

Buffer storage

Drive-through works well as a buffer between production and shipping.

Options

Drive-In & Drive-Through Racking

Drive-in

One access aisle, last in, first out.

Drive-through

Access from both ends, first in, first out.

Lane depth

Example lanes of 11 pallets deep and 3 high.

Guidance

Floor guide rails protect uprights as trucks enter.
