Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information DeRosa collects through this website and in the course of business, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to give us, or what is needed to run the site:

• Contact details you send us by email, phone, or our contact form: name, company, email address, and the details of your project.
• Business information you share during a quote or project, such as facility data, volumes, and layouts.
• Technical information sent automatically by your browser to our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used to deliver and secure the site.

The site does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and values entered in the ROI calculator stay in your browser. The chat keeps your conversation in your browser’s session storage so it continues as you move between pages; it doesn’t use cookies. While you browse, the site tells our team which page you’re on, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine), your device type, and an approximate city derived from your IP address, so we can offer help in real time. This visit information is kept for a few minutes and isn’t used to identify you. We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and reports only aggregated, anonymous statistics such as page views, referring sites, countries, and device types.

How we use it

• To respond to your inquiry and prepare proposals.
• To deliver, support, and invoice projects.
• To keep the website available and secure.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for purposes you would not reasonably expect.

Sharing

We share personal information only when needed: with equipment manufacturers and partners involved in your project, with service providers that host or support our systems, or when required by law. Service providers are bound to protect the information and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Service providers outside Quebec

Our website is hosted by Vercel. Messages sent through our contact form are delivered by Formspree, Website chat conversations are stored with Upstash for up to 90 days so our team can read and answer them, and notifications to our team are sent through ntfy. If our own chat is unavailable, live chat may be handled by Tawk.to. Questions you type into the website assistant are processed by Anthropic’s Claude to generate answers; please don’t share sensitive personal information with the assistant. These providers’ servers may be located outside Quebec and Canada. We assess these providers before use and rely on contractual protections for any information they process.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then destroy or anonymize it.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent, or ask questions about how it is handled. Send your request to info@derosaautomation.com. We will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
