Goods-to-Person Picking

Goods-to-Person Automated Picking

Bring products to your operators instead of sending operators searching through the warehouse.

Why Goods-to-Person

Stop walking the aisles

In a shelving area, most of a picker’s day is spent walking and searching. A vertical lift module stores the same parts in a fraction of the floor space and brings each one to the operator at waist height.

How It Works

The right product. Right where you need it.

Goods-to-person means the inventory travels, not the picker. Three steps replace the walk down the aisle.

  1. 01

    Request

An order or pick is initiated, from your system or at the console.

  2. 02

    Retrieve

The system delivers the tray or bin holding that item to the operator.

  3. 03

    Pick

The operator retrieves the item and confirms, and the next pick is already on its way.

Picking Technologies

Build a complete picking operation

The machines retrieve the inventory. These tools help operators sort, consolidate, and fulfill orders, alongside Modula systems or in conventional picking areas.

Put-to-Light

Lights and displays show the correct order position for each item, so several orders are sorted at once. Each module has a 7-colour confirm button and a graphic display.

Picking Station

A configurable workstation with shelves for totes and a put-to-light display per bin, for operators on one or both sides. Modules for a monitor, label printer, or scanner.

Modula picking cart with tote shelves on casters

Picking Cart

A put-to-light station on wheels, connected to the WMS by Wi-Fi, which calculates the best route through the picking area. Works with Modula systems or conventional shelving.

System Integration

Connected to your warehouse operations

Picking systems work as part of a larger flow. DeRosa connects them to the systems that create the work and the equipment that takes it away.

  1. WMS / ERP / order system

Orders and replenishment arrive from your business systems.

  2. Modula storage & picking

Trays and bins are delivered in the best sequence for the orders.

  3. Picking, consolidation & packing

Lights and stations guide each item to the right order.

  4. Outbound flow

Completed orders move on by conveyor to shipping.

Inventory management

Modula WMS tracks every item, location, and movement, so stock levels and traceability are always current.

Order processing

Orders come from your ERP or WMS and are batched so one tray visit serves several orders.

Picking lights

Put-to-light and pick-to-light show the item and the order position, cutting search time and errors.

Conveyors & packing

DeRosa connects the picking area to conveyors, packing stations, and outbound sortation.

Improve your picking operation

Whether you handle spare parts, fulfill customer orders, or prepare production kits, DeRosa can help evaluate the right equipment for your requirements.
